Artist, designer, sculptor, silver smith and leather smith,
BIOGRAPHY – R. A. GUTHRIE Artist, Designer, Sculptor, Silversmith and Leather Smith, Rick Guthrie now resides on his ranch in Northern Montana with his wife and daughter. As one of the leading designers of Western lifestyle products, Rick spends a great deal of time in the outdoors and on some of the largest working ranches in the West gathering first hand experience and knowledge of the Western lifestyle and the wildlife around which he designs. "Growing up I always viewed things from the artistic side, I started painting at the age of 8 and made my first hand tooled leatherwork by the age of 12. I have always looked at things not as they are, but for what they could be. Fortunately I was given the talent to translate that from my thoughts to whatever medium I was working in. I work in so many different medias because I love the challenge of not just the artistic creation, but the creative process of making it come to life in many different forms. My current collection of Artistry in Metal Wall Art and home accessories has given me the ability to reach more people with my lifestyle art in addition to my limited edition bronzes, prints, custom clocks, desks, and furniture that have all been customized with my leather and silver designs. Currently, a custom piece of my furniture can take well over a year to receive because of the demand." "The best inspiration I know of is to experience your art as a way of life, whether it’s sitting on the ranch house porch watching a family of whitetail cross the meadow or gathering the fall cattle from the high country. I believe in order to create a good piece of art, regardless of the medium you are working in, it must come from your heart." R. A. Guthrie’s works have been displayed in galleries throughout the West and Southwest and promoted in the media from Western Horseman to Cowboys & Indians. There are currently leather and silver pieces on display in the Nashville Museum in addition to numerous galleries, fine gift and furniture stores and national catalogs that now carry the R. A. Guthrie Designs’ new product lines. Make Money with our Affiliate Program Check Out View Cart About Us Contact Us Copyright FAQ's Join Us Privacy Statement Shipping Search Links
